Kodeks Etyki Studenta został uchwalony w trosce o dobre imię Uczelni oraz w celu zaspokojenia potrzeb kształtowania postaw etycznych wśród studentów i przyszłych absolwentów Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Katowicach. Jest zbiorem wartości etycznych oraz standardów postępowania, których powinni przestrzegać wszyscy studenci Uniwersytetu, mając na względzie uniwersalne zasady współżycia społecznego oraz dobre imię Uczelni, a także poszanowanie jej tradycji.

The student’s code of ethics was adopted for the sake of the University’s good name and to meet the needs of shaping ethical attitudes among students and future graduates of the University of Economics in Katowice. It is a set of ethical values and standards of conduct, that should be respected by all students of the University, bearing in mind the universal principles of social coexistence and the good name of the University, as well as respect for its traditions.
